Torbay Theatre Presents
1762: The Taking of Torbay
Written and Directed by Ben Pittman
Inspired by the French invasion and subsequent English re-taking of Newfoundland in the last battle of the Seven Years War, this outdoor play features four Torbay residents who faced the invaders and marched into the fray to save their loved ones and their country.
1762 begins at the Torbay Town Hall where 18th century soldiers will guide you along a short walk to the play location. Upon cresting the hill, you will arrive at the grand panoramic view of beautiful Torbay. Bring a chair or blanket and relax on the South Side as the play begins.
